Campus Minister

Cam Smith

As a student at Penn State, Cam Smith was not looking to become a Christian, but to his surprise, he fell in love with Jesus through an RUF Bible study. Cam, a native of Wyalusing, Pennsylvania, graduated from Penn State in 2008. His wife, Kaela, also became a Christian through RUF. Kaela grew up in Bradenton, FL and attended Erskine College in South Carolina, where Cam was a RUF intern.
They were married in 2010 and spent their first years of marriage in Saint Louis, Missouri, while Cam attended Covenant Seminary. After completing seminary, Cam was called to serve as the RUF campus minister at Carson-Newman University for five years. In 2019, he returned to serve as the RUF minister at his alma mater. Cam and Kaela have two daughters and a son, Zoe (2013), Lucy (2015), and Penn (2019).
